Mr Ibrahim Rajput is a Consultant General Surgeon with advanced specialist expertise in hepatobiliary surgery, practising in Leeds and Harrogate. He is recognised regionally for his high-volume practice in benign biliary disease and complex general surgery, and for providing consultant-led care informed by tertiary-centre experience.
He is routinely involved in the assessment and management of complex gallbladder and bile duct conditions and is frequently consulted for specialist opinion in these areas. Mr Rajput performs over 150 cholecystectomies (gallbladder removal procedures) annually in Yorkshire, reflecting both the scale of his practice and his specialist focus in biliary surgery.
Background
Mr Rajput completed his surgical training in Yorkshire and spent a substantial period at St James’ University Hospital, where he developed a specialist focus in hepatobiliary and transplant surgery. During this time, he gained extensive experience in complex liver and pancreatic surgery within a high-volume tertiary referral centre.
He later worked as a Consultant Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgeon at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, where he was involved in the surgical management of patients with liver and pancreatic cancer, as well as advanced benign hepatopancreatobiliary disease.
Mr Rajput has a particular interest in benign biliary disease, including gallbladder and bile duct conditions. He also has recognised expertise in the management of groin hernias, including sports hernias in active patients.
